Spoil Yourself

I am standing in the kitchen of the AirBnB house me and my family are staying at drinking a glass of water I just got out of the sink thinking how absolutely polluted and horrible this water tastes. Most people who haven't tasted water that's any better just don't notice it. My parents have spoiled me and my sibling in the weirdest most twisted ways. They have spoiled us in a sense of making us eat green smoothies because they are good for our health, and making us take Camu Camu because it's the highest source of vitamin C in the world. They get water from a spring in 5 gallon jugs so we don't have to drink water with chemicals and chlorine in it. Although, now if I had a choice, I would choose the superfood smoothie over a sweet food or something unhealthy any day. I would rather eat raw food than pizza or doughnuts.

A while ago, when my family and I were living in our old house my mom got a kidney stone; being really healthy she attributed it to the mineral dense water we would always drink out of our well. After getting the kidney stone to pass naturally, my family started driving 30 minutes to a spring for fresh water ever since. We have been drinking only spring water for the last 5 years or more.

I think of other families and other lifestyles. Most kids I went to high school with would strongly disagree with me on my stance about food. Most high school students I know of would think eating junk food all day long is being spoiled, or treated well. They would appreciate it more if they're parents got them ice cream, fast food, soda, and highly processed foods that are loaded with sugar than if they got them salad and low carb, low sugar foods. But what most kids in high school (or parents of kids in high school) don't realize, is that they're not really treating or being treated well -- they're slowly weakening themselves.

People that like eating foods that are high in carbs and sugar, processed, and contain factory made "fake"  fats, are not feeding their body; their feeding the parasites, bad bacteria, candida (bad yeast that lives in your gut wanting sugar) and cancers. Most of these bad things that kids feed with bad food don't seem bad while they are young. But after they grow older and have been living with antibiotics in their life all along, they may find out that they have a serious illness, or cancer.

If parents and kids could only realize that being "spoiled" with junk food and television isn't being spoiled at all, but it's killing you slowly instead, they would be better off. Spoil yourself with a healthy life. Fill your life with as much happiness as you can. Do things that make you and your body smile, that make you inspired to keep doing things you like. Eat food that not only puts a smile on your face but a smile on your nervous system, your pancreas, your endocrine system, and your heart.

Spoil yourself wisely.

Spokane WA.

This Wednesday I got to drive my family to the airport , on our way to go visit my brother, Pierre, in Spokane Washington. He is going to Gonzaga University.

Spokane is cold; really cold. It's surrounded by mountains and it's cloudy most of the time. Right around the college the town is slow; it looks like it's diluted, not much goes on besides college party's and class. But just outside of the college campus about 5 minutes, there's a small city that's relatively busy, as cities go. I love the cold weather, but the town isn't really somewhere I would choose to hang out... or go to college.
My sister Ruby and I went to the admissions office and took a tour of the school with my mom and dad. After the tour we had a meeting with the admissions counselor about the school, our past academic lives, and our possible future academic lives. I asked about their nursing programs and what options they offered around studying abroad. They have a lot of partnering schools worldwide and their travel abroad program isn't hard at all to get into. They have a rather traditional nursing program with general biology and physical biology. There was really nothing to write home about. The campus is beautiful.

Another attraction to the school would be hanging out with my brother; even still he would be a senior as I was a freshman, so that aspect didn't really add any juice to the jar. I have been looking at naturopathic medicine colleges around the country. I've found some schools up north but I haven't found one that really jumps out. I also have 2 more years....
My dad just drove us up to a food manufacturing and packaging warehouse called BumbleBee. He had met the founder a few years ago at a food expo in L.A.. They are producing MASS amounts of food, mostly cookies and bars. They had machines that separate the dough and shape the dough. They have scales that weigh out certain amounts of cookies into bags. There were machines that seal the bags. It was all happening in that warehouse. It was huge inside, lots of different rooms with different systems playing out. The entire warehouse smelled strongly of peanut butter and honey.
Owning a business is crazy and can be beautiful; it's seems hard, but it can be rewarding. I liked seeing it all in a action; it gave me a sense of what someone could be doing with a business.
We are at the house now ( the one we're staying at). On Airbnb it was called the "Benny and Joon" house; it was the house Benny and Joon was filmed in.

Now i'm off to a concert with my brother tonight, see who he parties with :) and who's company he enjoys.

The Magna Carta

I've had this history project that I've been putting off for a little while, but today I sat down and took the tiny amount of effort it took to complete it. While I was filling in the bullet points and conjuring up things to write next, I thought it was actually a really great assignment. I had to make my own Magna Carta. The Magna Carta was a peace treaty created in in 1215 CE, giving protection to barons and the church. Their were law like agreements written on the original, but for my assignment I had to create one regarding either my school, or my family; I chose my family since in my case it's a lot more interesting than school work. These are the things I came up with. The "regulations" of the house in my opinion. Most of the content is pretty much obeyed by my family, not by obligation but by preference. All the things that are written are just made up (we don't actually inflict laws in our house) :)

Magna Carta: Beauchamp Household Rights

  1. All members of the household have the right to love whom they choose. If someone is against this notion they have the right to speak their thoughts, but they cannot take action against one’s expression of affection. If someone feels uncomfortable with a relationship that is taking place under the Beauchamp roof they may speak their mind for the best interests of those involved the relationship.
  2. If you are in the Beauchamp’s house and you dirty a dish, you must clean the dish you dirty. If you do not clean a dish you have dirtied, then you have to do all dishes made dirty by everybody in the household for one day.
  3. All members of the Beauchamp house must keep themselves clean and healthy by showering at least once a week and not eating foods that are highly processed. One who does not keep up with their cleanliness and well being will have to live the consequences and self loathing that follows breaking these rules. If someone were to get sick upon eating something that does not favor their health, they can live with the un-comforts and re-think their actions choosing to repeat them or not.
  4. Everyone must uphold their own responsibilities. If someone’s needs are not being met, it is solely up to them to propose a solution and follow through. If someone is not completing tasks assigned to them and agreed upon, they will have consequences that follow appropriately for their own mishaps. If someone is not keeping up with their work or school work they will be reminded of what follows those that don’t work for themselves.
  5. Everyone living in the Beauchamp house must be absolutely self reliant. If a situation comes along where someone needs the assistance or accompaniment of another person they will need to arrange something with that person before hand, and involve them with their plans. If someone is alone for an indefinite amount of time they need to be fit and able to handle themselves under any and every circumstance.
  6. If someone under the Beauchamp roof has an issue with another member of the family, or anyone else involved in their lives it will become their responsibility to communicate directly with the person they have a problem with or need to say something to. If one does not uphold their responsibilities of direct communication they will find it more difficult to live with their judgements of others than to live without them.
  7. If someone in the family notices that another person is acting strangely, they are recommended to speak with that person regarding their unexpected behavior or attitude. Always make it known that you will offer your support to whoever needs it if you see fit.
  8. If any person were to bring in any substance that is edible or consumable onto the Beauchamp premises it is absolutely required to share with everyone interested in having it. If anyone is opposed to share they must not bring anything that is easily shareable onto the premises. If someone were to eat or consume something that does not belong to them, they must ask whomever it belongs to for permission before eating or consuming whatever it is.

New and Unique

The world is cruel in the kindest of ways. It makes the shortest of days seem like years upon years inside my mind. There is no end until I move onto the next millennium. Until I say thank you, Goodbye, I love you, I am sorry, I forgive you. I hope for power to do what makes me feel myself pulse. I crave moments that I can't forget, but there's only one of each. Every such thing is not like any or everything. There are no two alike. They are all unique. Moments stand still and hatch into memories. So unique, I wish to replay the many days I've seen; the birth of something new. I only look back until something is conceived and my mind is drawn to the present. I wonder what made it so sweet. The moments that leave tears on my cheeks. I look and rummage every which way to find one day. One day I felt something New and Unique.

Poem

Words are interpreted words are entwined with the opinion we hold in each of our mind. A mirror are you, reflecting my minds eye. The words I project aimed at my own heart that knows it's a mirror, but lies to me still. An image flipped is the one we project. The one we see with our souls are the ones we reject. Our souls know best. Though the rest, that of which we focus on so much. It's the truth we all lack. The simple message written upside down. Un-legible by our eyes but our souls understand. Look into your soul  turn away from the lies we are taught to remember to rehearse and live by. Look into your soul and see the truth that lies beautiful wise, and waiting for you to untie.
